The following formats are found in 9 Soundware content:
| WAV (24-bit/44.1 kHz) | The primary audio format used in 9 Soundware content. While WAV is a highly universal format, please be aware that some applications do not support 24-bit resolution. | | | | EXS24 | In addition to Apple’s EXS24 mkII and EXSP24 mkII, the sample format is also supported by products such as Native Instruments Kontakt, Mark of the Unicorn Mach Five, Steinberg Halion, and Digidesign Structure. However, EXS24 instruments by 9 Soundware are designed for use solely within the EXS24 mkII and EXSP24 mkII plug-ins included with Apple’s Logic Pro and Logic Express. Proper playback with third party samplers is not guaranteed. In addition, due to enhancements in modulation routings for the mkII version, .exs files by 9 Soundware are not backward compatible with the EXS24 mkI sampler. | | | | Sculpture | Sculpture is a synthesizer integrated into Apple’s Logic Pro. The plug-in reads and writes files in the .pst format. | | | | Ultrabeat | Ultrabeat is a drum synthesizer integrated into Apple’s Logic Pro and Logic Express. The plug-in reads and writes files in the .pst format. 9 Soundware content for this instrument requires Logic version 8.02. | | | | ES2 | ES2 is a synthesizer integrated into Apple’s Logic Pro and Logic Express. The plug-in reads and writes files in the .pst format. | | | | RingShifter | RingShifter is a ring modulator/frequency shifter integrated into Apple’s Logic Pro and Logic Express. The plug-in reads and writes files in the .pst format. | | | | EVOC 20 | EVOC 20 is a vocoder integrated into Apple’s Logic Pro and Logic Express. All three variants of the plug-in (EVOC 20 PS, EVOC 20 TO, and EVOC 20 Filterbank) read and write files in the .pst format. | | | | EFM1 | EFM1 is a synthesizer integrated into Apple’s Logic Pro and Logic Express. The plug-in reads and writes files in the .pst format. | | | | NN-XT | NN-XT is a sampler integrated into Propellerhead Reason. The Device reads and writes files with the extension .sxt. NN-XT sound sets by 9 Soundware are not formatted as Refill files, allowing streamlined access to samples in contexts outside of the patches in which they are used. | | | | Kontakt | Kontakt is a sampler by Native Instruments.
